Alors Réveillez-vous et faire quelque chose de plus! (Then Wake Up and Do Something More!)

P-day this week was held today, Wednesday May 20th due to Victoria day Canadian national holiday honoring Queen Victoria on Monday. The Mount Royal Stake in Montreal held a Interfaith Eco Cleanup of a local park in MTL.

Weekly questions from home for the elder. His response in his return email received today.

Q1. We were thrilled to see the photos some of the members from the stake took of the Interfaith service project at the MTL park. It look like a lot of people. Is that something put on by the church or the church is involved in with other faith groups (association). How was that experience? Did they have good LDS support, just your stake/missionaries?
A1. Yes the service was a really fun event. The church is a huge supporter of the event. It was LDS dominated with 170 total people there 95% being members of the church. Yes mostly just the Mount Royal Stake.
Q2. We also noticed a social media blitz. Your stake is too good with missionary work always thinking out of the spiritual box and taking action. Is that something unique to your stake? Do other stakes or areas in your mission do that?
A2. Yup we did another Media Split that's why PDay was moved. Great turnout. Yes, MTL Mount Royal is the only stake that does the Media Splitz.
Q3. Any success in the finding this week? Progress with contacts?
A3. Progress is slow but moving along.
Q4. Are you in need of anything? (besides camera).
A4. No just camera.
Q5. Who or what can we join in prayers this week?A5. Just our investigators.

Bonjour Famille!

Hello Family. Good to hear that things are still going well for you all back in Utah. So exciting to hear about all the things that are going on for you guys! Super proud of Kelee and showcasing well with his 7on7 team! Congrats on the big W. Keep balling out with them bro. Don't fear anyone! Good to hear that Cam and Kacie are well!

Haha we had a pretty cool event this P-day morning. Elder Yan and I went out to Kirkland (west island) and to a gym (Olympia Performance) which is owned by a member in the Kirkland ward. This gym is legit! They have a turf field, sleds, box jumps, ladders, pretty much anything you need for a legit workout. We spent most of the morning there and as we were finishing up there was a group of High School kids who came in. We learned they come in 3 times a week where former players in the CFL and players/coaches at the local universities provide training for them! It's a program called PFA. Anyways they saw that I was wearing a BYU football shirt and they were like "do you play there??" I said yes and they were so amazed that a D1 player was there working out so the coaches asked me to join them in their workout and just inspire the kids. It was super cool as I was able to get a legit work out in and get to know some of the kids there. They had me share my whole process of recruiting to try to help these kids get to the next level. They were even more amazed that I would give up Football for 2 years and do a mission that's probably what caught their attention the most! It was a really cool thing!

We had zone conference yesterday it was really good. President is so amazing and really helps us to get the vision of the Eternal Perspective!

Well things are good out here. Transfer calls are Saturday. I can't believe it, its gone by so fast! I'm not sure I will stay another transfer but i would sure love to stay and finish these next 4 transfers in this stake. I really love the members here in the Mount Royal Stake, they are so awesome!

Well love ya so much! Miss yall too! Have a great week!!

Avec Amour!!

Elder Gautavai
